University Social Welfare

Responsible for guiding, implementing and developing plans, programs, projects and activities that contribute to the integral formation, community building and improvement of the quality of life of its members; in other words, University Welfare is a fundamental complement to the academic project, aimed at ensuring a dignified life for the entire University Community.

GENERAL OBJECTIVE


To contribute to the integral formation of students and the improvement of the quality of life of all members of the university community, providing adequate spaces for individual and collective development through programs and services articulated with academics, that assist in achieving the mission and vision of both the University and the Polytechnic Faculty in order to achieve educational quality.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES


  1. Promote actions aimed at improving the quality of life of members of the educational community.
  2. Implement, execute and evaluate Health Programs promoting the permanent improvement of the physical, psychosocial and environmental conditions in which students, teachers, administrative staff, and alumni develop, through formative, preventive, and corrective activities that impact the quality of life and healthy habits.
  3. Implement, execute and evaluate Orientation and Social Assistance Programs promoting actions to respond to the information, advice, and support needs that the educational community may require in order to guarantee equal opportunities and contribute to the improvement of personal and social well-being.
  4. Implement, execute and evaluate Cultural Activities Programs stimulating the development of artistic skills and participation in institutional events aimed at strengthening and collectively building university identity.
  5. Implement, execute and evaluate Sports and Recreation Programs promoting and stimulating the development of skills and aptitudes in certain sports disciplines at the formative, recreational, and competitive levels, that provide healthy fun among students, teachers, administrative staff, and alumni.
  6. Implement, execute and evaluate Human Development Programs stimulating skills for improving self-esteem, motivation, and decision-making that students must follow to reach their university career goals, and providing strategies for improving work performance, professional training, and organizational climate for administrative staff, teachers, and alumni.
  7. Implement, execute and evaluate Inclusion Programs establishing legal regulations according to current provisions regarding inclusive education, promoting in the educational community responsible commitment to society and active participation in the defense and struggle for diversity and human rights.
