Activities carried out by Full-Time Professors

  1. Collaborate with part-time teachers in teamwork planning.
  2. Provide reinforcement classes for subjects with critical performance.
  3. Cooperate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of curricula.
  4. Collaborate in the design, coordination, guidance, or direction of training programs, research, and social outreach projects in accordance with their experience and dedication.
  5. Develop the semester academic activity plan inherent to their department.
  6. Administer the use of ICTs in the academic and management process.
  7. Support and participate in meetings by knowledge area, career departments, and in the preparation of university extension work projects from classrooms.
  8. Follow up on the academic performance report of the students and plan reinforcement classes and report on it where appropriate.
  9. Know the defined self-assessment process, familiarize themselves with ANEAES regulations, procedures, and available documents and materials.
  10. Clarify specific doubts of students within their knowledge area.
  11. Guide students on issues related to academic aspects and careers.
  12. Receive people who come to the department, answer telephone calls, and report to the appropriate authorities.
  13. Prepare notes, memos, and reports as needed.
  14. Participate in meetings called by the Academic Director.
  15. Participate in meetings and/or workshops scheduled by the institution.
  16. Accompany students in curricular or extracurricular activities.
  17. Identify academic-pedagogical needs regarding didactic, audiovisual, informative, and video tutorial material and propose alternative measures to the Academic Director.
  18. Control and request the necessary supplies and articles for the normal development of department activities.
  19. Verify the physical and electronic correspondence of the department.
  20. Submit to the Academic Director reports of all activities carried out by their department.
  21. Organize and safeguard the physical and electronic archive of the department.
  22. Carry out other specific functions entrusted by the Director related to their work area.
  23. Comply with other institutional provisions emanating from higher management that affect their activities as public officials.

Activities carried out by part-time teachers.

  1. Teaching reinforcement classes and/or laboratory practices, depending on institutional needs, for basic sciences of engineering (Physics and Mathematics) for students with or without critical performance.
  2. Developing training courses according to institutional needs aimed at the academic community (professors, students, officials, and graduates).
  3. Collaborating in the revision, elaboration, evaluation, and implementation of curricular processes.
  4. Clarifying specific doubts of students within the scope of basic sciences.
  5. Working coordinately with other part-time and full-time teachers.
  6. Guiding students on inherent issues of their career (what, how, when, and how much to study, academic calendar, number of failed subjects, correlation table, convenience in retaking or freezing a certain subject, minimum score required to pass a certain subject given the accumulated score, etc.).
  7. Receiving people who come to the department, answering phone calls, and informing to the corresponding person.
  8. Preparing notes, memos, and reports as needed.
  9. Participating in meetings required by the immediate supervisor or the Academic Director.
  10. Controlling and requesting the necessary supplies and articles for the normal development of the department’s activities.
  11. Verifying the physical and electronic correspondence of the department.
  12. Recording and communicating news to the immediate supervisor of the department.
  13. Organizing and safeguarding the physical and electronic file of the department.
  14. Performing other specific functions assigned by the Director related to their area of work.
  15. Complying with other institutional provisions issued by the higher authorities that affect their activities as a public servant.
