Pedagogical Support

Teachers can schedule interviews to receive advice on aspects related to class planning, evaluation of the teaching-learning process, innovative teaching strategies, proper use of media, development of didactic materials, etc., or attend courses and workshops organized by the Coordination, which respond to the improvement needs of the careers taught by the faculty and are free of charge.

They have among their functions:

  • To support teachers in their teaching management, regarding the planning, development, and evaluation of subjects.
  • To promote the updating of methodological strategies and evaluation mechanisms to be used by teachers in order to optimize the teaching-learning process.
  • To coordinate meetings with Career Coordinators and/or teachers to advise them on technical-pedagogical aspects (development of study programs, curricular reforms).
  • To verify study programs, their technical-pedagogical aspects, and submit them for approval to the Board of Directors.
  • To participate in the updating of educational plans and programs, policies, and regulations, according to new educational trends and detected needs.
  • To verify the reports from the coordinators, regarding attendance records for scheduled classes, attendance at called interventions, delivery of lesson plans, records of timely document delivery by teachers, records of developed contents, for the preparation of the teaching record.
  • To organize teacher training activities.
  • To design strategies for the use of ICTs in Higher Education.
  • To support and accompany the self-evaluation process, in order to guide diagnosis, search for solutions, and the establishment of strategies that allow the introduction of required changes and the preparation of final reports from the Academic Direction.
  • To monitor students academic performance, proposing technical-pedagogical activities based on them.
  • To guide the review and/or updating of evaluation instruments used within the teaching-learning process, according to new educational trends and detected needs.
  • To promote meetings by knowledge area in each career, preparation of university extension work projects from classrooms, strengthening the interrelation between disciplines and careers.
  • To manage the application of analysis tools on teaching performance, self-evaluation, and satisfaction, to ensure continuous improvement of education at FPUNE.
  • To submit final reports of all academic activities carried out by their department to the Academic Direction.
